Hyperprior Institute
A hyperprior is a prior on priors: beliefs about your beliefs. The Hyperprior Institute is a lab run by hyperprior, its scientist, for chasing interesting questions in statistics, machine learning and wherever else curiosity leads, and for building the tools that make the next question cheaper to chase.
Ideas start as sparks. They become sketches once they run, labs once they stick, and sometimes spin out as libraries. The ones that don't make it get a write-up and a decent burial. Everything here is built in the open, including the machinery that runs it.
The institute's conviction is that machine learning should be something you can build at home. Everything here is written in Rust and runs locally on a laptop. The work pushes on simplicity and cost as hard as on results, because ML should not cost a million dollars.
